Corporate Tax Compliance
Corporate Tax Registration Service in the UAE
Register correctly, on time, without the EmaraTax headache. We prepare the documents, submit the application, and advise on free zone status and Small Business Relief.
Registration is not optional
Every UAE company, including free zone companies and businesses expecting to pay zero tax, generally needs to register for Corporate Tax and obtain a Tax Registration Number. Late registration carries an AED 10,000 administrative penalty.
The registration itself looks simple until it isn't: choosing the right entity classification, getting the tax period right, and understanding your free zone position before you commit to answers on the form. Getting these wrong creates problems that surface at filing time, when they are expensive to fix.

Who needs to register for UAE Corporate Tax?
Broadly, all UAE companies and most business licence holders need to register for Corporate Tax and obtain a Tax Registration Number, including free zone companies and companies expecting zero tax under Small Business Relief. Registration is a separate obligation from actually paying tax.
What is the penalty for late Corporate Tax registration?
The Federal Tax Authority has set an administrative penalty of AED 10,000 for failing to register for Corporate Tax within the required timeline. Registering promptly is far cheaper than the penalty.
Do free zone companies pay 0% Corporate Tax?
Only if they meet the conditions for Qualifying Free Zone Person status, which depend on the type of income, substance requirements, audited financial statements, and de minimis limits. Free zone companies still need to register and file. We assess your position before you rely on the 0% rate.
What documents are needed to register?
Typically the trade licence, Emirates ID and passport copies of the owners or authorised signatory, contact details, and business activity information. Registration is completed through the EmaraTax portal. We prepare and submit everything on your behalf.
What happens after registration?
You must maintain proper accounting records, determine your first tax period, file a Corporate Tax return within nine months of the period end, and pay any tax due. We can handle the full cycle: registration, bookkeeping, computation, and filing.
